Goettl’s Oldest System Giveaway: Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. Sponsor

Goettl’s High Desert Mechanical, Inc., 4650 Old Highway 279, Camp Verde, AZ 86322. Telephone (928) 567-2200. GoettlsHDM.com. Arizona ROC License #: Residential ROC 097859, Commercial ROC 095880, Plumbing ROC 307525 (“Sponsor”).

2. Eligibility

The Goettl’s Oldest System Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is open only to legal residents of the State of Arizona who:

• Are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry
• Own and reside in a single-family residence located within Sponsor’s published service area, which includes Prescott, Prescott Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, Chino Valley, Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Sedona, Flagstaff, Payson, Anthem, New River and surrounding communities served by Sponsor
• Have a functioning central heating and cooling system installed at that residence
• If selected for verification, are able to grant Sponsor access to the residence as described in Section 6

Renters, tenants and non-owner occupants are not eligible. Rental properties, multi-family dwellings, mobile and manufactured homes not permanently affixed, and commercial properties are not eligible.

Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses) and members of their households, are not eligible. Employees of Sponsor’s advertising, promotional and marketing agencies and their immediate family members and households are not eligible.

Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. Giveaway Period

The Giveaway begins on October 1, 2026 at 12:00:01 AM Mountain Standard Time and ends on October 25, 2026 at 11:59:59 PM Mountain Standard Time (“Giveaway Period”). Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time.

Entries submitted before or after the Giveaway Period will not be accepted. Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for this Giveaway.

4. How to Enter

There are two ways to enter. Both are free. No purchase, payment or service of any kind is required to enter or to win by either method.

Method 1, online. Visit GoettlsHDM.com during the Giveaway Period and complete the online entry form in full. This method is open to any eligible homeowner at any time during the Giveaway Period, whether or not they are a Sponsor customer and whether or not they have ever purchased anything from Sponsor.

Method 2, technician-submitted entry. During the Giveaway Period, a Sponsor technician visiting a residence may offer to submit an entry on the homeowner’s behalf. The homeowner must give permission, and the technician records the same information the online form requires. A technician-submitted entry carries no cost and does not require the homeowner to purchase, authorize or accept any service.

Both methods require the same information: the entrant’s full name, service address, city, ZIP code, telephone number, email address, approximate age of the existing heating and cooling system, and confirmation of homeownership.

Entrants may optionally include a photograph of their existing system, whether uploaded online or taken by a technician with the homeowner’s permission.

The online entry form also includes an option to request a complimentary verification visit, described in Section 5.

Limit one (1) entry per household and per physical service address for the duration of the Giveaway Period, across both entry methods combined. Entering online does not prevent a technician from offering, and being offered an entry by a technician does not prevent entering online, but only one entry per address will be counted.

If more than one entry is received for the same household or service address, Sponsor will retain the earliest valid entry and disregard the others. Duplicate entries arising from a homeowner entering online and also being entered by a technician will not result in disqualification. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entries where duplication appears deliberate or intended to manipulate the Giveaway.

Entries that are incomplete, illegible or falsified are void. Automated, robotic, scripted, or bulk entries are void. Entries submitted by any means other than the two methods described in this Section are void.

All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.

5. Complimentary Verification Visit

The verification visit is free. No purchase, payment or obligation of any kind is required at any time, and requesting a visit is not required to enter or to win. Nothing purchased, declined or discussed during the visit affects an entrant’s eligibility or ranking.

Any eligible entrant may request a complimentary verification visit by selecting that option on the online entry form or by calling Sponsor at (928) 567-2200. Sponsor will then contact the entrant to schedule the visit during Sponsor’s normal business hours. The visit typically takes about thirty (30) minutes and is performed by a Sponsor Comfort Advisor.

What the visit covers. During the visit, the Comfort Advisor will:

• Determine the manufacture date of the existing heating and cooling equipment using the manufacturer serial number, data plate, or other manufacturer documentation, and photograph that information for Sponsor’s records
• Review the installation setup of the residence, including equipment locations, access, refrigerant line sets, ductwork, electrical, gas and venting, so that both the entrant and Sponsor know in advance whether a standard installation as defined in Section 7 can be performed, and what additional work, if any, would be required
• Answer the entrant’s questions about the Giveaway

What the visit does not include. The visit does not include any repair, maintenance, cleaning, parts or other service. If the entrant asks, the Comfort Advisor may discuss repair or replacement options. Any purchase is entirely optional, is handled separately, and is governed by Section 8.

Timing. For its results to be used in ranking, a verification visit must be completed on or before October 28, 2026.

If a visit does not happen. An entrant who does not request a visit, who declines or cancels a visit, or who cannot be reached to schedule after three (3) documented attempts remains eligible. Their entry will be ranked using the other methods described in Section 6.

Installation review. The installation review does not by itself make an entrant ineligible. It identifies any work beyond a standard installation, which is handled as described in Section 7.

6. Winner Selection

The winner will be the eligible entrant whose heating and cooling system has the earliest manufacture date among all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period, as verified by Sponsor.

How system age is established. Entries are ranked using the system age provided at entry. An entrant who does not know the age of their system may include a photograph of the equipment’s manufacturer data plate or serial number with their entry. Sponsor may also use the results of a completed verification visit under Section 5, or its own service, installation or permit records for the address. An entry whose system age cannot be established from the entry, a submitted photograph, a completed verification visit, or Sponsor’s records will not be ranked.

Verification of the potential winner. Before any prize is awarded, Sponsor will verify the manufacture date of the highest-ranked entrant’s equipment by examining the manufacturer serial number, data plate, or other manufacturer documentation at the residence. If that entrant has already completed a verification visit under Section 5, no further visit is required. Sponsor may verify additional entrants as needed. An entrant selected for verification must allow Sponsor access to the residence for this purpose on or before October 28, 2026. An entrant who declines verification, who cannot be reached after three (3) documented attempts, or whose equipment cannot be verified by that date will be disqualified, and Sponsor will verify the next-highest-ranked entrant. Verification is performed at no cost and carries no obligation to purchase anything. Sponsor’s determination of system age is final.

Tiebreaker. If two or more eligible entries share the same verified manufacture date, the winner will be the entrant whose entry was received earliest as recorded by Sponsor’s entry system. If a tie remains, Sponsor will select the winner by random drawing from among the tied entries.

Estimated odds. Because the winner is determined by verified equipment age rather than by random chance, odds of winning cannot be calculated in advance. They depend entirely on the age of an entrant’s system relative to all other eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period.

Purchases do not affect odds. Purchasing any product or service from Sponsor, including a replacement system under Section 8, does not improve an entrant’s ranking or odds of winning. Every entry is ranked solely on the manufacture date of the equipment in place at the time of entry.

7. Grand Prize

One (1) grand prize will be awarded consisting of one (1) new residential heating and cooling system, including standard professional installation by Sponsor, selected by Sponsor based on the requirements of the winner’s residence.

Quantity: one (1). Estimated Retail Value (“ERV”): $15,000.00.

Standard installation means replacing the existing heating and cooling equipment in its current location, connected to the residence’s existing refrigerant line sets, ductwork, electrical, gas and venting, where those components are in serviceable, code-compliant condition.

Optional upgrade. The winner may instead choose a higher-tier system offered by Sponsor. In that case, Sponsor will apply $15,000.00 toward the price of the upgraded system and its standard installation, and the winner will pay the remaining balance before installation. Choosing an upgrade does not increase the value of the prize awarded.

Sponsor will determine the size and configuration of the system based on the requirements of the winner’s residence. Actual value may vary depending on the equipment required for the residence, and any difference between the actual value and the stated ERV will not be awarded in cash.

The grand prize is awarded in a single installation. There is no schedule of payments made over time.

The grand prize does not include permits beyond those customarily required, electrical, gas, structural, ductwork, or code-compliance modifications that may be necessary, removal or remediation of hazardous materials, or any work outside the scope of a standard equipment replacement. If the winner’s residence requires such work, the winner is responsible for those costs. Sponsor will disclose any such costs in writing before installation begins, and the winner may decline, in which case the grand prize is forfeited.

The grand prize is non-transferable. No cash equivalent or substitution is permitted, except as provided in Section 8, and except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

Installation must be completed at the residence identified in the winning entry, and must be scheduled and completed on or before December 31, 2026 unless otherwise agreed by Sponsor in writing. Failure of the winner to make the residence available for installation on or before that date will result in forfeiture of the grand prize.

All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Because the value of the grand prize exceeds $600, the winner will be required to complete and return an IRS Form W-9, and Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC reporting the value of the prize awarded as income for the applicable tax year. Depending on the winner’s tax bracket, this may result in a tax liability of several thousand dollars. Entrants are encouraged to consult a tax advisor.

8. Entrants Who Purchase a Replacement System During the Giveaway

No purchase is necessary to enter or win, and a purchase will not improve an entrant’s odds. An entrant who independently chooses to purchase a replacement heating and cooling system from Sponsor before the winner is determined remains eligible to win, subject to all of the following conditions:

• The entry was submitted under Section 4 before the purchase agreement was signed
• Before the existing system was removed, Sponsor documented and photographed its manufacturer data plate or serial number. Sponsor will do this as part of any replacement it installs during the Giveaway Period. An entry whose original equipment is removed without this documentation cannot be ranked
• The purchase agreement was signed on or before October 28, 2026, and covers the residence identified in the entry
• The entry is ranked on the age of the system that was replaced, not the new system

Refund in place of the grand prize. If an entrant who meets these conditions is confirmed as the grand prize winner, that entrant will receive, instead of the grand prize described in Section 7, a refund of the purchase price of the replacement heating and cooling unit and its standard installation, as stated on the signed purchase agreement, up to a maximum of $15,000.00, the ERV of the grand prize. The winner will not receive a second system.

The refund does not cover financing costs. The refund does not include, and Sponsor will not pay or reimburse, any interest, finance charges, loan fees, or other amounts owed under any financing agreement, whether the financing was arranged through Sponsor or a third party. An entrant who financed a purchase remains solely responsible for every obligation under that financing agreement, including repayment in full.

Other exclusions. The refund also does not include additional equipment, accessories, indoor air quality products, extended warranties, maintenance plans, permits, or any work outside the scope of a standard equipment replacement, whether or not listed on the same purchase agreement.

Timing and method. The refund will be issued by check to the winner within thirty (30) days after the later of (a) the winner satisfying all requirements of Section 9, and (b) Sponsor receiving payment in full of the purchase price, whether directly from the winner or from a financing provider. The refunded amount is reported as prize income under Section 7, and the same tax terms apply.

If the purchase agreement is cancelled or rescinded, this Section no longer applies and the grand prize terms of Section 7 govern, provided the original entry remains eligible.

9. Winner Notification and Announcement

The potential winner will be notified by telephone and email at the contact information provided at entry, on or about October 29, 2026.

The potential winner must respond within five (5) business days of first notification attempt. Failure to respond within that period, return of notification as undeliverable, or inability to reach the potential winner will result in forfeiture, and Sponsor may select the entrant with the next-earliest verified manufacture date.

The potential winner may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where lawful, a Publicity Release within seven (7) days of receipt. Failure to return required documents within that period will result in forfeiture.

Sponsor intends to announce the winner publicly on or about October 30, 2026. Any announcement made before the potential winner has satisfied every requirement of this Section identifies that person as the potential winner, subject to verification of eligibility. If the potential winner is disqualified or forfeits, Sponsor will select the entrant with the next-earliest verified manufacture date and may announce that alternate winner.

10. Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes the recipient’s consent for Sponsor and its agencies to use the recipient’s name, city and state of residence, photograph, video, likeness, voice, and statements about the Giveaway for advertising, promotional and publicity purposes in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notice or approval.

Entrants who upload a photograph, or who permit a Sponsor technician to take a photograph in connection with their entry, grant Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that photograph for advertising and promotional purposes. Permission for a technician-taken photograph is given at the time of entry and may be withdrawn by contacting Sponsor at (928) 567-2200.

11. Privacy and Communications

Information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at GoettlsHDM.com/privacy-policy.

By entering, entrants consent to receive communications from Sponsor, including telephone calls, emails and text messages, regarding this Giveaway and Sponsor’s products and services. Message and data rates may apply. Entrants may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any such email. Opting out of marketing communications will not affect eligibility.

12. General Conditions

By entering, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Giveaway.

Accuracy of information. By entering, each entrant represents and warrants that all information submitted is true, accurate and complete, and that they are the lawful owner and occupant of the residence identified in the entry. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and to request documentation of ownership and residency at any time. Submission of false or misleading information will result in disqualification.

Insufficient entries. If fewer than ten (10) eligible entries are received during the Giveaway Period, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Giveaway, award no grand prize, or extend the Giveaway Period, in its sole discretion.

Severability. If any provision of these Official Rules is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway, acting in violation of these Official Rules, or acting in a disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, garbled, incomplete, or not received for any reason, nor for any technical malfunction, human error, or failure of any network, hardware, software or telecommunications provider.

If for any reason the Giveaway is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, or any cause beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Giveaway, and to select the winner from among all eligible entries received prior to the action requiring such cancellation, termination, modification or suspension.

13. Limitation of Liability

By entering, each entrant releases and holds harmless Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claim, injury, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this Giveaway, any verification visit under Section 5, any age verification under Section 6, any refund under Section 8, or the acceptance, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any prize.

Entrants further agree that in no event shall Sponsor be liable for attorneys’ fees, and entrants waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages other than actual out-of-pocket expenses.

14. Disputes and Governing Law

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and Sponsor, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Giveaway shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, in a state or federal court located in Yavapai County, Arizona.

15. Winner’s List

For the name of the winner, send a written request to Goettl’s High Desert Mechanical, Inc., Attn: Oldest System Giveaway Winner’s List, 4650 Old Highway 279, Camp Verde, AZ 86322, to be received no later than December 31, 2026.
